The M1945 Sleeping Bag Case was made from light weight canvas and provided a water repellent (not waterproof) outer layer for the sleeping bag.
The two straps at the foot of the sleeping bag were tied close after rolling up.
These are down filled only not like the newer version that has down and poly and weight twice as much/
Condition in excellent condition for the age 1 small tear at 1" see phot may be another i looked i see 1 repair inside sewn about 3-4" zipper and all work well stiff has lots of fluff to it. So feather are not all beat down.
